Places of worship / quiet rooms

There are a number of places around the Trust set aside specifically for the purposes of worship or quiet space.

Southampton General Hospital

The Hospital Chapel - Centre Block, Level D.

This is a large space accessible to all, from any faith or none. It can accommodate large services for patients and staff in the main body of the space. There is also a water feature section where people gather for quiet reflection or small groups for prayer. Many people use it just to drop in and pray or reflect a while.

The Side Chapel – Centre Block, Level D.

This adjoins the main hospital chapel and is a more religious Christian space, where candles may be lit and prayers said.

Male Muslim Prayer Room – Centre Block, level D.

This is a space just outside of the main Chapel, regularly used for prayer, with wash facilities nearby.

Female Muslim Prayer Room – centre Block, Level D

This is a room just through the main Chapel and to the left, where prayer is also regularly made.
