Experience

Dr Gilson has worked as a consultant in geriatric medicine at the Trust since September 2015. Alongside a multidisciplinary team she looks after older patients from  the Hythe area of the New Forest. Her role includes community geriatrics which involves close working with the Hythe community team and GPs conducting domiciliary home visits and comprehensive geriatric assessments.

Dr Gilson also works alongside Dr Strike to manage patients undergoing rehabilitation at Romsey Community Hospital. Her role also includes front door working at Southampton General Hospital, improving flow, enabling early discharge and providing senior decision making in the management of complex older patients.
