Dr Bird-Lieberman joined the Trust in September 2012 as a consultant paediatric neurologist. She participates in the acute neurology on-calls and holds weekly neurology and epilepsy clinics. Dr Alice Lording
Dr Lording is a consultant paediatric neurologist with a sub-specialist interest in complex tone and movement disorder. She participates in the acute neurology on-calls and holds weekly general neurology outpatient clinics and monthly CMD sub-specialty clinics held jointly with neuro-physiotherapy.

Professor Colin Kennedy
Professor Kennedy joined the Trust in 1988 as the hospital's first paediatric neurologist. He was clinical lead for the over 24 years and his current role involves both outpatient and inpatient clinical care. Professor Kennedy's current role also includes clinical research, where he has a special interest in neuro-oncology.Read full profile

Dr Thomas has been a consultant paediatric neurologist in Southampton since 1993. As well as contributing to the general paediatric neurology service, he has special interests in neuromuscular disease and cerebral palsy.Read full profile
Dr Brigitte Vollmer
Dr Vollmer joined the Trust in 2010. She has a sub-specialty interest in neonatal and developmental neurology, in particular brain imaging and the long term motor, cognitive, and behavioural development of children born at risk. Dr Whitney is a consultant paediatric neurologist, with specialist interests and training in complex epilepsy and sleep medicine. She is based in Southampton and runs general neurology clinics, complex epilepsy and ketogenic diet clinics, working closely with the specialist epilepsy nurses.
