Dr Haydock is a consultant cardiologist who joined the Trust in February 2017. He has extensive training in treating heart failure and specialises in implanting biventricular pacemakers (also called cardiac resynchronisation therapy), which keep the left and right ventricles of the heart pumping simultaneously. Another specialty is the implantation of implantable cardioverter defibrillators (ICDs), which correct an abnormal heart rhythm. He's an EHRA (European Heart Rhythm Association) accredited implanter of both of these devices.
Dr Haydock is one of three consultants in the Trust providing heart failure services. He's the lead for the heart failure multidisciplinary team and guideline development.
